About
Euthetos — Greek for “well suited,” or “fit for purpose.”
Euthetos is an independent engineering practice working on embedded and safety-critical software, with fifteen years of that work in production automotive vehicles. The name is the standard every engagement is held to: the right solution for the actual problem.
Long-lived embedded programs punish shortcuts. Architecture decisions outlive the teams that make them, toolchains carry technical debt across model years, and a defect found in the field costs orders of magnitude more than one found in CI. The work here is about clarity and correctness in that environment, whether the question is a system design, a test strategy, or where new tooling genuinely earns its place in the workflow.
Services
Three areas of work.
- Architecture
Embedded & Safety-Critical Architecture
System and software architecture for embedded, real-time, and safety-relevant products. HMI, infotainment, and application-layer design in C++, Qt and QML, Python, and Rust across QNX, Linux and Yocto, and Android Automotive OS. Architecture reviews, design decisions, and cross-layer defect analysis, informed by certified ISO 26262 functional safety practice.
- Platforms
Developer Platforms & Test Automation
Build, test, and release infrastructure that engineers actually use. Automated UI and system testing, software-in-the-loop in cloud CI environments, toolchain evaluation and migration, and rollout across distributed teams. Where AI tooling measurably shortens the loop, it gets integrated into the existing pipeline rather than bolted alongside it.
- Advisory
Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Advisory
Independent assessment of system quality, architectural risk, and engineering capability. For investors evaluating embedded software companies, and for leadership teams facing build, buy, or rearchitect decisions on platforms that have to last a decade.
Who you're working with
Taylor Fouts
A software engineer and solutions architect with fifteen years experience in enterprise software and AI. Taylor has spent much of his career advising enterprise automotive engineering organizations: architecture reviews, technical workshops, and rollout strategy for distributed teams, plus originating a cloud-based software-in-the-loop testing capability from concept through working prototype. He is a TÜV SÜD certified ISO 26262 Functional Safety Engineer and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University.
More recently he has led AI-assisted development adoption for engineering organizations, building integrations that put agents inside real design and automated test workflows and authoring an open-source reference implementation (Antares) used by cloud, semiconductor, and tooling companies. He writes C++, Python, QML and publishes at github.com/tbfouts.
